Storage fee calculator

The performance parameters of our product RAG ES Premium Flex Storage are defined as follows:

 

  • The injection capacity is the same as the withdrawal capacity.
  • The injection and withdrawal capacity are firm.
  • The minimum capacity is 10 MW or a multiple thereof.
  • The maximum working gas volume is calculated using the following formula: withdrawal rate x 24 h x 70 days.
  • It is possible to choose between delivery points in Austria (Storage Pool Puchkirchen) and in Germany (Haiming2). RAG Energy Storage books the transportation capacity from and to the virtual trading point (VTP) in the market area East (Marktgebiet Ost).

The storage fee calculator displayed below calculates the capacity fee for contracts with a contract period of at least 1 year. The capacity fee for the product RAG ES Premium Flex Storage is calculated using the following formula:

F = P x WCImax

P = 12,056 (as of Q2/2024)

F = capacity fee per year in EUR excl. VAT and incl. fuel gas

P = basis price in EUR/MW

WCImax = withdrawal capacity (withdrawal rate) in MW

The system charge for withdrawals from distribution networks into storage facilities, stated in EUR/kWh/h, is prescribed by the Gassystemnutzungsentgelt-Verordnung (Gas System Charges Order) and will be invoiced in addition. The Gas System Charges Order 2023 set a rate of EUR 0.35/KWh/h.

 

The performance parameters of our product RAG ES Flex Storage are defined as follows:

 

  • The injection capacity corresponds to 2/3 of the withdrawal capacity
  • The injection capacity and the withdrawal capacity are interruptible.
  • The minimum capacity is 10 MW or a multiple thereof.
  • The maximum working gas volume is calculated using the following formula: withdrawal rate x 24 h x 80 days.
  • It is possible to choose between delivery points in Austria (Storage Pool Puchkirchen) and in Germany (Haiming2). RAG Energy Storage books the transportation capacity from and to the virtual trading point (VTP) in the market area East (Marktgebiet Ost).

  • The injection and withdrawal capacity can be chosen freely in consultation with RAG Energy Storage.
  • The injection and withdrawal capacity can be selected on an interruptible basis.
  • There is no minimum capacity.
  • The maximum working gas volume is calculated using the following formula, in which the withdrawal days may be chosed between 70 and 90 days: withdrawal rate x 24 h x withdrawal days.
  • It is possible to choose between delivery points in Austria (Storage Pool Puchkirchen) and in Germany (Haiming2). RAG Energy Storage books the transportation capacity from and to the virtual trading point (VTP) in the market area East (Marktgebiet Ost).

The storage fee calculator displayed below cannot calculate the capacity fee for the product RAG ES Customize Storage due to the customization of the highly flexible product. The capacity fee will be calculated on customer request based on a standardized price model.
